The ESB is laughing all the way to the bank after reporting massive profits shortly after price-gouging customers.
The latest statement from the company reflects an operating profit of €357m for the first six months of 2022 alone.
The supplier, which operates its electricity generating business and its supply entity separately to make sure that the profits of the former remain within the company, raised its prices earlier this month. This was the fifth increase since 2021.
