A number of TD’s across the country will see their salary being given a boost as latest round of pay rises kick in.
In a move that was approved by Cabinet, Civil Servants will be given a 2% increase in their pay as rates are restored to 2008 levels.
Under the new pay rise a TD’s basic salary will rise €98,113 to €100,191, whilst Senators will also get a boost as their salaries will rise to €70,134.
It is understood that the pay increase comes after it was agreed to reverse the Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest Act.
