Crowds gathered outside the Dail on Saturday night for a silent protest to demand an end to homelessness.

The vigil came just days after a spate of tragic deaths which claimed the lives of six people in 10 days.

Homeless charities believe some deaths are not being reported and up to 12 people in homeless services or sleeping rough have died in the past month.

Anthony Flynn, founder of Inner City Helping Homeless, slammed authorities for “wasting public funds” instead of providing mental health supports.
