The United Nations flag will fly over Leinster House to mark Ireland’s successful election to the United Nations Security Council.
The flag will fly for the duration of Ireland’s term on the UN Security Council.
The decision was made after Fine Gael TD Neale Richmond made the request to fly the flag to Ceann Comhairle Seán Ó Fearghaíl following last month’s election.
