This is the sickening reality of the homeless crisis that the government has not managed to tackle.
Charity worker Anthony Flynn posted the image on social media after calling emergency services when he came across the elderly woman sleeping rough in soaking wet conditions.
The Inner City Helping Homeless founder claims that the woman, who suffers from dementia, spent the night exposed brutal, wet, windy and freezing conditions in Dublin.
He wrote “Society is failing our elderly!!!!”
“This morning we have been called to a lady who slept in the rain last night.
“The lady, (who) was soaked to the bone, is in her late 60s suffering with dementia. She has been transported to hospital.”
The image has gone viral and people are encouraged to share it to show the true nature of what’s going on in Ireland.
